This policy applies to the mortgage broker (the “Broker”) and to the real estate agents and other referrers (“Referral Partners”) who register to refer clients (“Leads”) to the Broker through this application.
Account information about you: name, email, mobile, real estate company, suburb/state, and licence number.
Lead information that a Referral Partner submits about a client: name, contact details, property address, relationship status, financing type, loan amount, and any notes. This may include personal and financial information about the client.
Lead information is used solely to facilitate the mortgage referral and to progress the client’s finance application through the Broker’s pipeline. Account information is used to operate your account and to administer the referral relationship.
The Broker can see all leads. A Referral Partner can see only the leads they themselves submitted. Lead status and history are visible to the Broker and to the referring Referral Partner.
Referral Partners must obtain the client’s consent before submitting that client’s personal information as a Lead, and must only submit information they are authorised to share. By submitting a Lead, the Referral Partner confirms they have that consent.
Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes and are never visible to anyone. Information is retained for as long as needed to manage the referral relationship and to meet legal and regulatory obligations, and is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Clients may request access to or correction of their information by contacting the Broker. Referral Partners and clients can ask the Broker to update or remove information held about them, subject to the Broker’s legal obligations.
