Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

1. The service RefJot provides

RefJot is a software tool that helps a Broker and their Referral Partners record and track mortgage referrals. RefJot is not a party to the referral, does not provide credit, financial, or legal advice, and does not introduce clients or guarantee any outcome. The Broker and the Referral Partner are solely responsible for their own conduct, licensing, and legal and regulatory obligations.

2. Payments & commissions

RefJot does not process, hold, or transfer any money, and is not a payment service. Any commission, referral fee, or other payment between a Broker and a Referral Partner is a private arrangement between those parties. RefJot may calculate and display commission figures from the details you enter; these are an estimate for your own record-keeping only and are not an invoice, a demand, or confirmation of payment. RefJot is not liable for any payment that a Broker makes, fails to make, delays, or disputes, and takes no responsibility for the accuracy of any commission figure shown in or calculated by the platform.

3. Lead status & data accuracy

Lead statuses and other information in RefJot are entered and maintained by the Broker and Referral Partners. RefJot does not verify them. RefJot is not liable for any lead status that is incorrect, out of date, or not updated, or for any decision, loss, or dispute arising from relying on information recorded in the platform. Users are responsible for keeping their own records accurate.

4. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

RefJot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RefJot and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, data, or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use RefJot only for its intended purpose, to keep your login secure, and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or to other tenants’ data.
